Again this was not happening before so I’m assuming something has changed with the installation of the drivers for the interface. I’ve had a look both on Logic and in Studio One to see if I could find any of this out, but came up with nothing. I’m running Logic Pro X You can move and trim audio regions, split and join them, quantize and edit the pitch of audio file without changing the original.

Non-destructive parameters such as quantize, transpose and gain are located in the Region Inspector. To avoid issues between Logic projects that share the same audio files, I recommend making a duplicate already-used audio files before adding it to a new project.

No matter how you edit an audio file in Logic Pro X, remember that both non-destructive and destructive editing its purpose in audio production. When you edit audio file in Logic Pro X it likely you are using non-destructive editing.

It is the most ideal editing option but be afraid to also use destructive editing. But there are times when more permanent changes are desirable. Do you use any of those? Haha, my question was for cpiquette. Don’t answer for him. Agh, you answered so quick after me I could have sworn I was talking to the original poster. Posted January 29, It really doesn’t make any sense that these would be 8 bit audio files, does it?

Logic does NOT like it when you use a Fat32 drive. I am using a AFP Mac formatted drive! My main Mac got hit by a lightning so I put the ssd drive into an older Mac Pro.

All worked fine.

To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. It’s upsetting enough Apple creates update that don’t open old file formats and not give us an option or included tool to convert those files, the old Logic project files I’m trying to open not only give me the warning, “Logic Pro X found audio file s in 8 bit format” not allowing any of them to open , but after pressing the “OK” button, the warning keeps popping back up.

Anyone experiencing this, and any fix it’s to it? I can’t even close the project ’cause the warning blocks all other option other then “Force Quit”, which I’d rather not have to keep doing. I’m using a MacBook Pro when they started including Linux, but it’s not a retina with El Crapitan big mistake, so far.

Logic pro x found 1 audio file in 8 bit format free. How To Edit An Audio File In Logic Pro X: Destructive and Non-Destructive

By cpiquetteApril 2, in Logic Pro. I added a screen shot to support my case I’m still not exactly sure what your situation is, but if there has been unintentional downsampling of audio files, I would open them in читать больше audio editor like Audacity and see what can be done. I am working with a student who has this same problem. We’re all running Logic Pro X.

She is temping a short film as an assignment and she нажмите для деталей audio ссылка на страницу she downloaded from iTunes.

It works fine on her computer, and then when she puts it on a thumb drive and tries to put it logic pro x found 1 audio file in 8 bit format free the main computer to show the class, we get an error message saying that the audio files are 8 bit and can’t work in Logic Pro X. We’re both running apple frre, her’s windows 10 pro enterprise n free download a Macbook Pro and the other computer is an iMac.

Both running OS X. Any help would be much appreciated! I was given a GarageBand project to mix, everything was ok for 2 days, and today I open the project and boom that happened I happened to use a external HD formatted in ExFat.

Can I get rid of that problem adio by copying loguc project logic pro x found 1 audio file in 8 bit format free a Mac Formatted drive? This is been a major issue for Mac users That may protect the audio file headers. Worth a shot. I had the 8 bit problem, too. A friend said the same thing. He wrote a software to restore the file header of the corrupeted files. In logic pro x found 1 audio file in 8 bit format free case logic fills the header up with 0s which then at reopening is estimated as an 8 bit file.

The good news is that the audio still is ok, only the header needs to be recovered. My new Logic Pro Book is out! Tree had a an issue with a certain small file coming up as 8bit it was most certainly not when opening a Logic Project on another system.

That’s great to hear. Thanks for adding your experience to this thread, really useful for other users with the same issue. I’ve never had the problem, until now. Ive gone on a trip to do some remote work, have a new MBP, and brought my external hard drive that all my audio projects are stored to. In a different country, and this bug came out. Also using a different audio interface. Just thought I’d put those details out, incase someone can see a pattern as to why this happens.

Anyway, I’m going to follow jensenmann’s link, seems it helps fix. Just one question, when I open the project, just before the arrange window comes up, I get a message that 3 files are corrupted and can’t be recognized. But then when the project fully opens, it says ‘1 file is corrupted’. But then when I try to move any file in the project, it is says logic has detected gormat corrupt file.

Is there any warnings, or advice on how to proceed with the fix? And determining which files to fix, etc. You can post now and register later.
